Nine Baptisms
// Rachel DeTellis
It’s amazing to see God working in the churches in Haiti.
Recently, the Bord-Mer church baptized nine individuals, eight of whom grew up in our church. What a wonderful testimony of the ongoing growth and maturity taking place. One of the young men baptized, David Vital, is in 10th grade at our high school. He says he made a decision to accept Jesus as his Savior at a special outreach event the church held on the Neply basketball court. Each night, there was preaching and music. Now, David is a musician at the church and he says that Pastor Yaguel is the most influential person in his life.

Another person baptized was Guirose Mesilien, Pastor Yaguel’s mother. She grew up going to church and made a profession of faith at a young age. Even though she became a mother as a teenager, she kept her faith. Finally, in 2024, she married and afterward asked to be baptized. What a privilege for Pastor Yaguel and the other church leaders to have had a part in these baptisms and their growth in faith. ~Rachel DeTellis
